About Shore Volleyball Academy.

Shore Volleyball was started with two goals in mind:
1.  Teach the sport of volleyball the right way (using only qualified and experienced coaches)

2.  Share our passion/love for the sport with the next generation of athletes

Without a doubt, we are accomplishing these goals.  Our program offerings start as young as 8 years old, to our highest level programs where our most experienced athletes have gone on to play college volleyball at the NCAA DI/DII/DIII and Junior College levels.

Our staff is the best in the area.  Our Director/Head Coach is a former NCAA DII full-time volleyball coach(promoted to Director of Athletics in 2023).   Our Assistant Director is the Coach  elevated to NCAA DII full-time VB Coach, spending 40+ hours a week on Volleyball.  Our other Assistant Directors/Head Coaches are college coaches, who have also spent time as high school and travel club coaches.  Every night of every session is programed by one of our experienced Directors.  All of our court coaches have experience coaching/playing at the high school level, with the vast majority also competing at the college volleyball.

Due to the popularity of our programs, and the space/time limitations to ensure we can provide an excellent experience, most of our programs do fill up and end up with a waiting list.  Some of our most popular summer camps fill several months in advance.  We organize our programs and locations with our staff availability in mind.

Our History

Shore Volleyball Academy was founded in 2015 as Sempkowski Volleyball LLC by the the volleyball Coaches at Georgian Court University(Coach Dan Sempkowski and Coach Jason Ulrich).  It all started with the sole purpose of offering a four day long summer volleyball camp to prepare campers for their upcoming High School volleyball tryouts (the "HS Boot Camp" VB Camp).  Since then, we've changed names (now Shore Volleyball Academy) and added significantly to the programming.   We have grown to 7+ unique summer camps , a winter Club Alternative all-inclusive program, several general skills clinics, and even a beach volleyball program that grew to over 120 athletes.  In 2020, we started some offerings for boy's.  We now work with over 30 coaches over the course of a year, some of which were even athletes in our 1st HS Boot Camp years ago.  Well over 2500 student-athletes have participated in Shore Volleyball Academy programming, with over 400 just from our offerings during the 2023-2024 academic year.

We regularly serve athletes from Ocean County, Monmouth County, and Middlesex County, but do have athletes traveling from North/West/South Jersey, NYC, and Staten Island during the school year.  During the summers, we have had athletes from even further.  We have been lucky to serve summer campers from England, Denmark, Puerto Rico, California, Florida, and North Carolina to just name a few.
